Second Annual Plenary Meeting SPP 2361 in Nördlingen

From 22 to 24 January Charlotte Engelmann, Michael Kahle, and Jan Blöthe joined the Second Annual Plenary Meeting of the DFG funded priority program SPP 2361 „On the Way to the Fluvial Anthroposphere“ in Nördlingen, Germany. The priority program aims to investigate when and why human impact became a significant factor in shaping the fluvial landscape. During the meeting, the focus was on dicussing recent progress of the ongoing sub-projects as well as closely exchanging in working groups on overarching questions of the priority program.

Together with their partners from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Charlotte, Michael, and Jan presented on the current status of Freiburg’s sub-project DEMUR (Deciphering the fluvio-social metabolism of the Upper Rhine area). We enjoyed the intensive discussion and positive atmosphere during the meeting and look forward to further exchange.
