Die interdisziplinäre Forschung und Lehre am Lehrstuhl nimmt vor allem die sich überschneidenden und gegenseitig bereichernden Themen Personalmanagement, organisationales Verhalten (Organizational Behavior) und organisationaler Wandel (Organisational Change) in den Blick.
Speziell fokussiert sich die Forschung auf Mitarbeitende und Ehrenamtliche im Kontext eines sich verändernden organisationalen Umfeldes und versucht zu erklären, warum Menschen für Nonprofit-Organisationen arbeiten, wie sie auf Wandel reagieren, und welche Faktoren ihr Bleibeverhalten beeinflussen.
Da Mitarbeitende und Ehrenamtliche ihr Organisationsumfeld bewusst wahrnehmen und sich diese Wahrnehmung auf ihre Einstellungen und Verhaltensweisen auswirken kann, erforschen wir zudem, warum und wie Nonprofit-Organisationen sowie Bildungseinrichtungen im öffentlichen Sektor auf externen Wandel reagieren und wie sie organisationalen Wandel implementieren.
Qualitative und quantitative Methoden helfen, die Komplexität der Interaktionen auf mehreren Ebenen zu erfassen sowie individuelle, organisationale und kontextbezogene Faktoren in die Konzeption und Implementierung unserer Forschung miteinzubeziehen.
