Benjamin completed his bachelor’s degree in physics at Radboud University in Nijmegen and moved to the University of Freiburg for his master’s degree. He joined the group of Prof. Giuseppe Sansone for his master’s thesis on “Nonlinear temporal compression of femtosecond laser pulses using a multipass cell.” He then began his doctorate in May 2023 and is a member of the RTG-DynCAM research group. His work aims to generate attosecond pulses using the laser pulses compressed by the multipass cell, which he then uses for single-photon double ionization in atoms.
