Established as a Cluster of Excellence in 2012 and now anchored as a center at the University of Freiburg, BrainLinks-BrainTools is a hotspot for pioneering neurotechnology.

BrainLinks-BrainTools was established in 2012 as a Cluster of Excellence within the excellence inititative by the DFG (EXC 1086) and is funded as a center since 2019 from the Federal Ministry of Economics, Science and Arts of Baden-Württemberg within the sustainability programm for projects of the excellence initiative II.
