Description
We are seeking a highly motivated student assistant (HiWi) to join our research team for max. 40hours per month. The ideal candidate will have already obtained a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, etc.). Hands-on experience in cell culture and basic laboratory techniques are a requirement.
Position: Temporary Student assistant (40 hours/month) Department: Biomikrotechnik - IMTEK, University of Freiburg Location: Georges-Köhler-Allee 102, 79110 Freiburg, Germany
Tasks may include:
Support experimental work flows related to ongoing research projects.
Assistance with lab management such as maintenance of laboratory equipment, autoclave waste management, preparing equipment experiments.
Assist in data collection, preliminary data analysis, and the organization of experimental results.
Requirements:
Completed Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry).
Prior practical experience in general laboratory work (e.g. thesis work or prior positions involving cell culture, molecular biology techniques, biochemical assays, etc.)
Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment (e.g., pipettes, centrifuges, microscopes) and basic laboratory software.
