Description
The professorship is conceived as a strategic key appointment in the upcoming generational transition at the Mathematical Institute. It represents and advances the field of analysis of non-linear partial differential equations on an outstanding level. It contributes in an adequate way to all of the institute's teaching responsibilities and participates actively in academic governance.
We require:
- an international leader in the area of Analysis whose scientific achievements are demonstrated by excellent publications and who has contributed to shaping the field;
- the qualification and willingness to decisively influence the scholarly, structural and strategic orientation of the Mathematical Institute and to assume a leadership role within the Institute;
- thematic fit and willingness to collaborate closely with existing research groups in neighboring areas at the Mathematical Institute and in the IRTG 3132 Freiburg-Pisa;
- the ability to provide leadership in the conception and guidance of future collaborative projects nationally and internationally.
In all other respects, the conditions for appointment according to § 47 Landeshochschulgesetz apply.
