Technology Transfer

We use technology transfer to translate our expertise and inventions into economically and socially useful innovations, thus helping to maintain Germany as a centre of commerce and industry and promote competitiveness and sustainability in industry, science, and society.

The Centre for Technology Transfer (ZTF) is the service centre for all members of the University of Freiburg and the point of contact for stakeholders from industry

• for research transfer in terms of collaborative and contract research,
• for the technology transfer of know-how, property rights (patents, brands), data, and copyrights, for example through licences and comparable agreements.
• for the area of support for founders, from the initial idea to a profitable business.
