The aim of personnel development at the University of Freiburg is
- to support all employees in their individual, professional development at the workplace.
- to offer suitable and up-to-date measures and to take into account the individual, changing life events of the employees.
- to supplement their own measures continuously and according to their needs. In doing so, it contributes to an appreciative management and organizational culture.

Management
Our identity as managers
- As managers, we are aware of our special responsibility and role model function.
- We are self-confident in actively shaping changes and innovations and accompany our employees in doing so.

- We as employees fulfill our tasks with high commitment. We think and act responsibly, with foresight, creatively and result-oriented.

Trainees
Our expectations as trainees
- As trainees, we can choose between nine different professions and get to know the heterogeneity of the university as a “scientific institution”.
- We receive a versatile and highly qualified training with good opportunities for further education.
- If questions arise during the training, we receive a wide range of support from our dedicated training managers and the youth and trainee representatives.
