Executive Board (Rectorate)
The University of Freiburg is run by the collegial Rectorate. The Executive Board (Rectorate) is responsible, among other things, for structure and developmental planning, including human resources development, for planning regarding construction development, and for the preparation and implementation of the budget. Moreover, the Executive Board (Rectorate) executes the resolutions of the Senate and the University Council.
The rector represents the University of Freiburg and is chair of the Executive Board (Rectorate) and the Senate.
The organization and procedures of the Executive Board (Rectorate) of the University of Freiburg are governed by the Rules of Procedure of the Rectorate.
