Bachelor’s & master’s theses

The Chair of Forest Growth and Dendroecology offers students the opportunity to write bachelor’s and master’s theses on current and relevant research topics. You will benefit from close collaboration with the interdisciplinary team of the chair and gain valuable insights into ongoing research projects. Students are encouraged to develop innovative solutions to complex ecological problems and thus actively contribute to scientific research.

Open topics

It is also possible to specify a topic of your choice in dialogue with your supervisor and then work on it.

If you are interested in writing a thesis on a specific topic, please contact one of the chair’s researchers in the reserach area you are interested in.

For general enquiries about theses currently available, please contact Prof. Dr. Thomas Seifert (thomas.seifert@wwd.uni-freiburg.de) or Prof. Dr. Hans-Peter Kahle (hans-peter.kahle@wwd.uni-freiburg.de).

Once the topic of the thesis has been jointly selected, a short exposé and a rough timetable are required.
