Institutes, Clinics and further Institutions
At the Faculty of Medicine in Freiburg, 117 professors work across 62 institutes, clinics, and further institutions. They conduct top-class research in collaboration with other faculties and research institutions in Freiburg, as well as in national and international networks. In addition to research, the Medical-Theoretical Institutes provide our students with the scientific foundations of medicine in the first study section .
In the second study section, the clinics of the Medical Center – University of Freiburg provide students with training that is closely linked to practical experience.
In patient care, the 37 clinics of the Medical Center – University of Freiburg go far beyond the standard. This is because nowhere else is there such a large concentration of knowledge and expertise as in university medicine.
