Studies and Teaching
With approximately 4000 students, the Faculty of Medicine at the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg is one of the largest in Germany. Students here benefit from the high quality of life in the tri-border region as well as from innovative teaching concepts and one of the most renowned university hospitals nationwide.
The Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg has outlined guiding principles for learning and teaching. “The University of Freiburg promotes academic reasoning, critical reflection and independent creativity in learning and teaching. It supports all of its members in acquiring the knowledge, competencies and key qualifications they need to act thoughtfully, responsibly and successfully.”
Following this, the Faculty of Medicine has developed faculty-specific quality goals for study and teaching, to define standards that are intended to apply to all the faculty’s courses. The Faculty Council approved these quality objecitives in its meeting on February 7th, 2019.
