About StudiTZ
Since the 2008/2009 winter semester, the University of Freiburg’s Medical School has had a student training center, or StudiTZ for short. This was founded by a student initiative. Here, medical students have the opportunity to practice practical skills in a relaxed environment.
The offer complements the curricular teaching and provides a voluntary opportunity for in-depth study. The goal is to create a relaxed and pleasant learning atmosphere, with sufficient time and space for practical practice. Questions can be asked on an equal footing, and mistakes are seen as valuable opportunities to learn from and grow. The student tutors have the opportunity to flexibly adapt their course offerings to the needs of the participants and to independently develop new courses. The content is reviewed by the medical director and medical lecturers to ensure quality and relevance to clinical practice.
StudiTZ is a central place for exchange, support, and learning – designed by students for students.

Here you will find:
StudiTZ employs 20 tutors who are themselves medical students. They are already in higher semesters and complete additional didactic training at the Albert-Ludwig-University of Freiburg. The training aims to develop useful didactic tools for teaching clinical-practical skills. The tutors are supported by an employee, a medical director, and numerous medical lecturers.
