Bachelor and Master projects

Bachelor and Master projects can be defined (almost) anytime. They typically will be related to computer simulations, density functional theory and/or projection operator techniques. You will either solve equations (analytically or numerically), run simulations, or develop (and program) numerical or simulation related techniques.

PhD projects

In the research group for statistical physics of soft matter and complex systems, we have an open PhD position. The research task is to derive hydrodynamic evolution equations from the Liouville equation by means of a projection operator formalism. Knowledge in statistical physics is desirable, excellent marks in theoretical physics or mathematics are a prerequisite. Please send applications to renate.kaiser@physik.uni-freiburg.de.
