The Institute INATECH, Chair of “Cross-Scale Material Characterization”, is looking for a Senior Scientist for Micro- and Nanotechnologies with immediate effect
Our profile:
The INATECH Institute of the University of Freiburg is engaged in research of energy materials for battery and PV application. More specifically a newly developed methodology called “Correlative Techniques” had allowed the structure, composition and transport to be determined at the same position and down to nanoscale. We are engaged within a nice spectrum of teaching with the goal of training students in experimental physics by proposing various practical courses, lectures and seminars.
We are looking for a Senior Scientist (m/f/x) to support the research activities within the chair “Cross-scale material characterization” of INATECH. The senior scientist (m/f/x) will not only push the groundbreaking research in the group (especially correlating atomic redistribution with transport), but will also help in administrative tasks (project writing, management tasks) and teaching (4h/Week need to be accomplished).
Your profile:
You have a PhD degree in material science, engineering or physics from a university in the field of micro- and nanotechnologies and nanocharacterization. Ideally, few years of postdoc are appreciated. Moreover, it is expected that you have experience with conducting and planning high-level research in material characterization such as transport measurements (Hall setup, etc…) or/and atom probe tomography. A committed and independent work as well as the willingness for interdisciplinary cooperation are also required.
Your tasks:
You are in charge of the Nanocharacterization Laboratory.
Your tasks include:
