The Jack Mag invites you to be “Defiant”!
The JACK is a magazine run by students of University College Freiburg, and made by you!
Every semester, contributors submit written and visual material exploring one theme in a creative way. Pieces may take personal, political, scientific, social, philosophical, cultural, or alternative perspectives.
The theme for our 2026 summer print magazine is “DEFIANT”, and we will be accepting submissions of any genre and from anyone who wants to share something until May 10th.
For this ninth issue, we want to give you a voice to explore your power and a safe space to get creative about the ways you can resist in big and small ways.
Use your semester break to be defiant, get inspired by the theme, and create!
Please spread the word about this open call. There are many ways of being defiant, and we can’t wait to see your amazing work and how you will use your power!
