Description
The Biomolecular Dynamics Group of Prof. Gerhard Stock is concerned with the theoretical and computational modeling of elementary life processes from first principles, see our website www.moldyn.uni-freiburg.de.
We offer:
- Researcher Associate – Akademische Rätin/ Akademischer Rat auf Zeit (f/m/d)
- The position is limited to three years.
We require:
- Successfully completed outstanding PhD degree in Physics, Biophysics or Chemistry
- Excellent hands-on experience with setting up, running and analyzing MD simulations of proteins and protein-ligand complexes, including force field parameter generation
- Broad background in dimension reduction approaches, preferably with focus on protein allostery
- Excellent communication skills in English (mandatory) and German (preferably).
- Teaching load in Physics on Bachelor and Master level 4 hours a week (4 SWS)
The possibility of further qualification is given. Civil servant requirements must be fulfilled.
The salary will be determined in accordance with A 13.
