University College Freiburg (UCF) promotes and administers unique international and interdisciplinary teaching activities at the University of Freiburg, including the
English-language B.A./B.Sc. program in Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS).
UCF is seeking to hire two tutors to support the LAS introductory statistics course, „Dealing with Numerical Information,“ during the summer term of 2026.
Primary responsibilities will include:
· Supervising two weekly tutorial groups (Friday mornings, 8:00–10:00 and 10:00–12:00).
· Creating study materials and exercises for students.
· Correcting exercise sheets.
· Assisting during the examination process and with the correction of exams.
Candidates must:
· Hold at least a B.A./B.Sc. degree (recognized in Germany).
· Be familiar with the theoretical background and application of basic descriptive and inferential statistics (e.g., data visualization, correlation, regression, parametric and non-parametric test statistics).
· Have excellent English skills (the language of instruction is English).
· Be proficient in the statistical software package R.
· Be a reliable and collaborative colleague.
