Humanmedizin (Human Medicine)

State Examination

The Human Medicine programme at the University of Freiburg prepares students to promote health through medical expertise, work effectively in interprofessional teams, and gain hands-on experience throughout their studies. Several support programmes are available to facilitate students’ transition into the programme. Programme start: Winter Semester

Admission: Restricted admission (369 places)

Non-EU citizens (without German school-leaving certificate) do not take part in the selection procedure via Hochschulstart. Study spaces are granted according to a quota of 5% of the available spaces. Applications are made directly via the application portal of the University of Freiburg.

These 5% of the study places are allocated according to the requirements of the selection statutes for foreign nationals and stateless persons.

Higher semesters

Programme start: Winter and Summer Semester

Admission: Restricted admission

Application for the summer semester only possible in even semesters (2nd, 4th, 6th, etc.), for the winter semester only possible in odd semesters (3rd, 5th, 7th, etc.).
