Study Political Science with a German–French focus at two prestigious institutions: the University of Freiburg and the Institut d’Études Politiques (IEP) in Aix-en-Provence, earning two degrees and experiencing two ways of life. The multiple-accredited programme in Applied Political Science is supported by the Franco-German University. Students receive a solid academic education, grounded in two pedagogical traditions. An integrated six-month internship provides the opportunity to gain insights into the professional world and acquire practical experience during their studies. The programme, followed by a Master’s of the same name, leads to three qualifications: a Master’s from the University of Freiburg, a Master’s from Aix-Marseille University, and a diploma from the IEP. Career prospects include roles in international organisations, the private sector, journalism, and research.

First semester: Restricted admission (30 places)
Selection procedure
Knowledge of the French language at least level B2 of the CEFR, letter of motivation with explanation, 1st level: pre-selection of average German higher education entrance qualification grade and evaluation of letter of motivation, 2nd level: passed selection interview and weighted individual grades from the German higher education entrance qualification

Germans and EU citizens: 90% of study spaces are granted in a selection procedure and 10% after a waiting period. Non-EU citizens (without German school-leaving certificate): do not take part in this selection procedure. Study spaces are granted according to a quota of 8% of the available spaces.
