Environmental Sciences

Master of Science (M.Sc.)

This Master’s equips students with advanced understanding of ecosystems, combining ecological foundations with strategies for sustainable change. Five specialised majors allow individual focus: Climate Change Ecology, Environmental Modelling and Data Science, Sustainability Assessment, Wildlife and Biodiversity, or Land Use and Conservation. Depending on their major, students focus on field research and conservation or modelling and data science. Excursions, projects, and lab work are central, using advanced methods to address pressing environmental issues and develop innovative, real-world solutions. Graduates are prepared for specialist and leadership roles in the environmental sector. With their chosen specialisation and strong methodological skills, they can build careers in government, industry, international organisations, NGOs, or research, advancing sustainable development.
