Modern China Studies

Master of Arts (M.A.)

The English-language M.A. in Modern China Studies is interdisciplinary, providing knowledge of China’s society, history, economy, and politics, while emphasising original research skills. Coursework in the M.A. in Modern China Studies develops research skills, critical analysis of methods and theories, and language proficiency through source readings and translation classes. The programme also offers a semester abroad and optional internship opportunities. Graduates are well prepared for doctoral research or careers in China-related fields, including academia, higher education, NGOs, government, research think tanks, journalism, and the private sector.
