Medical Sciences – Cardiovascular Research

Master of Science (M.Sc.)

The MSc in Medical Sciences – Cardiovascular Research provides an in-depth understanding of the structure and function of the cardiovascular system and prepares students for a PhD in cardiovascular research. The English-language, international, interdisciplinary and integrative programme combines fundamental biomedical knowledge with clinical insights into the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, together with hands-on laboratory and research experience. A small, student-centred cohort enables intensive learning with and from one another and supports the development of an international professional network. Graduates gain strong methodological and scientific competences and develop a translational perspective that connects basic research with clinical practice. The programme also addresses the ethical dimensions and implications of medical practice and research, providing a strong foundation for doctoral studies and careers in biomedical research and industry.
