Founded in 1989 as the first central scientific institution at the University of Freiburg, we work across disciplines and faculties, thinking outside the box and searching for a language that everyone can understand. The faculties of Chemistry and Pharmacy, Environment and Natural Resources, Biology, Mathematics und Physics, as well as the Technical und Medical Faculties. As a platform for application-oriented basic research and goal-oriented contract research in the field of new materials and material-related technologies, we offer opportunities for exchange and cooperation in Freiburg.
