SphereOne – Navigation in a new dimension

Cynus’ core product, the SphereOne, is the modern solution for the modern workplace: the input device functions like a classic mouse on the table, but can also be moved and rotated while floating freely. This makes the SphereOne ideal for 3D workflows – for example in CAD, design or simulation. The shape is symmetrical and the gestures are freely configurable. This creates new ergonomic ways of working and intuitive control without having to change devices.

The SphereOne requires not only innovative technology, but also advanced material solutions. The housing plays a central role in the feel and ergonomics and poses challenging questions regarding the choice of materials. Together with the FMF, the Cynus team is investigating environmentally friendly plastics in order to develop sustainable options for the application. In addition, technologies for a touch-sensitive surface are being tested, offering further innovative control options.

SphereOne: the first completely surface-independent, freely configurable 3D mouse.

„By collaborating with the FMF, we aim to realise our vision of revolutionary human-machine interaction.“

Nero Materials

Neue era of hydrogen technology

NERO is a green tech spin-off from the University of Freiburg with a team of scientists and engineers who are advancing the performance and longevity of hydrogen energy systems with a new era of structured carbons. The goal is to actively shape a sustainable energy future with carbon technology. To this end, Nero offers highly controllable, performance-optimised and durable carbon carrier materials for hydrogen fuel cells in heavy-duty trucks, ships, aircraft, stationary applications and electrolysers.
