Ms. Park is a scholarship holder at the Supreme Court of Korea and a doctoral candidate at the Department of Law of the Graduate School of Seoul National University. Judge Park was conducting a research project on administrative procedural law.

Dr. Üstün is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli (Gazi) University, Turkey. Her research stay was part of the research project “Digitization of Administrative Procedures.”

Ms. Lust-Vedder from Estonia is a doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Law at the University of Tartu. As part of her research project, she analyzed the “guarantee of effective legal protection against general decrees as opposed to legal ordinances.”

Prof. Nishigami was a visiting scholar at Prof. Schneider’s chair, supported by an Alexander von Humboldt Foundation fellowship. He conducted a comparative legal analysis of the problems of internal administrative disputes, particularly in the form of disputes between constitutional organs. He is also interested in legal disputes between different administrative bodies, for example in connection with the approval of large infrastructure projects. Formerly assistant professor at Osaka City University, he has been a professor at Kobe University since October 2017.

Ms. Kim is an employee at the South Korean Constitutional Court and a doctoral candidate at Seoul National University. Her research stay at Prof. Schneider’s chair was part of her comparative law dissertation project, which, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jeong Hoon Park, dealt with the topic of “Legal certainty and protection of legitimate expectations in Korea, Germany, and France.” Her research stay was funded by a prestigious scholarship from the South Korean Constitutional Court.

Mr. Ahn is a lawyer at Kim & Chang, a leading South Korean law firm specializing in regulatory law. He also serves on advisory bodies including the Korean Ministry of Science and Communication, the Korean Communications Commission, and the Korean Internet Security Agency. During his research stay, he investigated comparative law issues in the field of regulatory and information law.

Mr. Lee has been working as a visiting scholar at Prof. Schneider’s chair for 18 months since August 2016. Mr. Lee is an administrative judge in South Korea and a doctoral candidate at the Graduate School of Korea University. His doctoral thesis concerns the relationship between constitutional and specialized courts. His stay is funded by a prestigious research grant from the Supreme Court of South Korea.

Mr. Berning Prieto was a visiting scholar at Prof. Dr. Schneider’s chair from April to June 2017. He is a doctoral candidate at Professor Eduardo Gamero Casado’s chair at University Pablo de Olavide in Seville, Spain, and is researching issues related to electronic administration. His research stay was funded by the European Union’s Erasmus program.

Prof. Dr. Sánchez Ferro was a visiting scholar at Prof. Dr. Schneider’s chair from April to July 2016. She focused on postal and telecommunications secrecy and the right to informational self-determination in connection with intelligence activities. Her research focused on issues relating to data exchange between EU member states. Prof. Dr. Sánchez Ferro is a professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

Ms. Rauk, doctoral candidate at University of Tartu, focused on legal protection within the European administrative network.

Prof. Díez Sastre researched conceptual formation in public law. She is a professor at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid .

Mr. Cabrera Rodríguez, doctoral candidate at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, conducted a two-year research stay on scientific freedom.

Ms. Simou is a doctoral candidate at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and carried out a research stay at the chair of
Prof. Dr. Schneider from March 2011 to June 2012 as part of her doctoral project. Ms. Simou is working on the topic “Climate Change and the Local-government Legal Framework”.

Prof. Dr. Rodríguez de Santiago was a guest researcher at the chair of Prof. Dr. Schneider from March to May 2011 to research the organizational and procedural administrative structures of science law. Prof. Rodríguez de Santiago is a professor at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

Dr. Díez Sastre researched legal protection in public procurement law in Spain and Germany. She is an assistant professor at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

Prof. Koch conducted an extended research stay and participated in a ReNEUAL workshop. He was Dudley Warner Woodbridge Professor of Law at the College of William and Mary (Williamsburg, USA) and co-editor of the American Bar Association’s “Administrative Law of the European Union” book series.
