Welcome to the MPSD Group!

We develop and apply the methods of mathematical physics and the theory of stochastic processes to study phenomena in complex (incl. biophysical) systems. Our main research focus is path-wise statistical mechanics, stochastic thermodynamics, and kinetics of particle systems and fields out of thermodynamic equilibrium. This includes the control of uncertainty in the inference from under-sampled data. In the biophysical context we are interested in macromolecular conformation dynamics and molecular signalling processes.
