The Jack – Open Call

The Jack Mag invites you to “Play”!

The Jack is a magazine run by students of University College Freiburg (UCF), and made by you! In every issue of the Jack, contributors submit written and visual material that explore one theme in an interdisciplinary and creative way: the pieces may adopt a personal, political, scientific, social, philosophical, cultural or alternative perspective and take various stylistic forms.

The theme for our 2025 winter print magazine is “playing” and we will be accepting submissions until November 2nd.

Submissions may include musings such as essays, poetry, photography, collages, visual brainstorms and art that allows for print (feel free to submit multiple pieces, if the mood strikes you.)
