VoraussetzungBIOSS Centre for Biological Signalling Studies is strongly promoting and supporting women working in life sciences and bioengineering to grow, to develop and to succeed in their fields. BIOSS particularly encourages and provides assistance to young women starting their future scientific career. BIOSS awards yearly the Barbara Hobom Prize for excellent female scientists working in the field of synthetic biology, signalling and bioengineering.

ModalitätenCandidates should be PhD-students and conduct innovative and outstanding research in the areas mentioned. The laureate will be awarded € 10.000 for her further research. The money can be spent according to the guidelines of the DFG for lab consumables as well as for taking part in a research collaboration project with an international institution. Applicants should send an application form (download from the BIOSS website), CV, a 1-2 page outline of the research project including a reference letter by their supervisor. The applications will be reviewed by a committee established by the steering committee of BIOSS.BIOSS Centre for Biological Signalling Studies
