The Department of Applied Mathematics is part of the Mathematical Institute and belongs to the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the University of Freiburg.

About us
The Department of Applied Mathematics has two secretariats and 14 members of academic staff in addition to the professors.
Research seminar
During lecture period there are talks and presentations in our very own research seminar.
Teaching
The lectures “Numerics” and “Theory and Numerics of Partial Differential Equations” are held each term. Additionally, there are irregularly held special lectures and seminars.
