Pflegewissenschaft (Nursing Sciences)

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) – 1 field degree program

The bachelor's degree programme addresses trained nurses who want to gain further qualifications and acquire skills for evidence-based nursing. The nursing science programme at the University of Freiburg combines nursing science theory with the practical skills of the nursing profession. The aim is for students to adopt a critical and reflective attitude toward their own nursing practices and to apply the skills they have acquired to improve nursing care and practice development for the benefit of patients. Graduates work in an evidence-based manner in interprofessional teams and are involved in practice development and research. With the tools they have acquired, they can independently assess the needs and care of patients in terms of effectiveness and justify nursing actions with scientific findings from nursing research.
