Hebammenwissenschaft (Midwifery Science)

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) – 1 field degree program

The degree programme B.Sc. Midwifery Science offers a science-based and practice-oriented education in which the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities as well as scientific expertise are taught. The degree programme thus qualifies students for professional activities in various areas of midwifery. The degree programme is practice-integrated, with both theoretical study phases at the university and practical study phases at the clinical and non-clinical cooperation partners. The programme concludes with a Bachelor of Science degree and a state licence to practice midwifery. Students receive a salary throughout the entire programme. The degree programme prepares students for the varied and responsible work of midwives. Students acquire the skills required for comprehensive midwifery work in clinical and outpatient settings.

First semester: Restricted admission (35 places)
Selection and qualifying examination Procedure

Non-EU citizens (without German school-leaving certificate) do not take part in this selection procedure. Study spaces are granted according to a quota of 8% of the available spaces.
