We are part of the Mathematical Institute at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the University of Freiburg.
In research and education, we study topics around probabilities, random phenomena, for short — everything which is connected to stochastics. This includes statistics, finance and actuarial mathematics, questions from life sciences as well as artificial intelligence respective machine learning.
