Welcome to the Freiburg-Pisa Graduate School!

The International Research Training Group 3132 is a doctoral School funded by the German Research Foundation as well as the University of Pisa and the Scuola Normale Superiore. Its mission is to train the next generation of researchers in the area of nonlinear partial differential equations. The individual research projects are situated in the areas of geometric analysis, shape optimization, and applications in continuum mechanics and their intersections. Furthermore, stochastic aspects provide a link to contemporary topics like climate modeling and geometric data science, while being integrated with the geometric and continuum mechanics themes.
