Dean’s Office Administration
The Dean’s Office Administration supports the structural and strategic development of the faculty and the appointment of professors. It also provides advice on research management, study organisation, as well as doctoral and postdoctoral qualifications. As the link between the University of Freiburg and the Medical Center – University of Freiburg, our team ensures smooth operations and assists academic staff with organisational matters.
The Faculty Management conducts the ongoing business of the faculty in close consultation with the Dean and advises and supports them in their responsibility for the faculty’s strategic processes and in their role as budget officer. The Faculty Management heads the Dean’s Office Administration. Internally, it acts as a link between the strategic and operational levels and, at the same time, as the central interface to external parties, in particular to the administrative departments of the University of Freiburg, the uMedical Center – University of Freiburg and the the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of Baden-Württemberg. It ensures the smooth operation and further development of efficient business operations in the Dean’s Office Administration that has to adapt to new challenges and conditions at ever shorter intervals.

With the introduction of quality management and the associated certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, the Dean’s office administration has adopted a mission statement.
The mission statement of the Dean’s office administration at the Faculty of Medicine is aligned with the quality objectives of the Faculty in research and teaching and reflects our principles and values.
