Polyvalent dual major bachelor's degree programme - Major field (teacher education track)

The Polyvalent Bachelor’s with Italian as Major provides in-depth knowledge of Italian language, literature, and culture, preparing students for further academic study or a potential teaching career at Gymnasium (secondary school). The programme combines intensive Italian language practice with the study of linguistic structures, literary traditions, and cultural developments. The Optional Pathway towards Qualified Teacher Status prepares students for the M.Ed., including educational sciences, didactics, and school-based practice, while electives allow an individual academic profile. Graduates gain strong Italian language skills, analytical abilities, and broad cultural knowledge. The teacher education pathway leads directly to the M.Ed. and Gymnasium teaching, while the programme also prepares for careers in culture, media, education, and further master’s study in language or cultural fields.
