FrankoMedia – Französische Sprache, Literatur und Medienkultur (FrancoMedia – French Language, Literature, and Media Culture)

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) – 2 field degree program - Major Field

The FrankoMedia programme combines French linguistics, literature, and cultural studies with media culture and history, providing a solid foundation in the French-speaking cultural sphere and its media expressions. FrankoMedia combines linguistic, literary, and cultural studies with a historically oriented, cultural-studies approach to media. Focusing on media’s role in societal and cultural development from orality to contemporary communication, the programme integrates language practice, theoretical reflection, and media analysis for a highly rigorous academic profile. Students develop advanced French language skills, analytical media literacy, and the ability to contextualise complex linguistic, cultural, and literary issues. These skills open pathways to careers in the cultural and media sectors, international cooperation, or master’s-level study.
