History:
The house “Zur Lieben Hand” has always been a meeting place in the heart of Freiburg. At times the restaurant served as a clubhouse for the Workers’ Education Association. From 1938 it was operated as a public and was very popular with the people of Freiburg. Since 1990, the house has served all members of the University of Freiburg as a communicative meeting place. The casino is run by the Studierendenwerk Freiburg.
