The Summer Campus of the Department of Computer Science received the State Teaching Award for work in the area of Computer Science.
The Summer Campus of the Faculty of Engineering is a two-week summer school held during the break between summer and winter semester. The Summer Campus provides employees and students of the faculty as well as external educators the opportunity to pass on their knowledge to others at the faculty and external participants in practical compact courses. Most courses focus on central practical topics in computer science, such as the introduction to programming languages like Java and PHP or issues in the area of Internet networking and IT security. 2006 was already the third year the summer campus has been held.
